Local Missions

Family Friendly Mission Activity
Elk Grove is one of the most ethnically diverse communities in the USA. What a wonderful opportunity and challenge it presents us! Yet it can be a little uncomfortable to reach out to people different from you.

This activity is designed to be a fun way to learn about and enjoy the diversity in our community with the added benefit of increasing your capacity to love your neighbor.

Activity: You will get passports and will be directed to visit local area businesses that have a distinct ethnic character to them. Get your passports stamped at each location, learn a little bit about the cultures you encounter and then report back when you join other participants for lunch at an ethnic restaurant.
(Responsible for paying for your own lunch. Cost usually runs about $10 per person)

Date: Saturday, July 21
Time: 9:30am-1:30pm
Where: Meet at church promptly at 9:30am for orientation and instructions.
Lunch: 12:45pm at Well Season Dim Sum Seafood Restaurant, 9089 Bruceville Rd

Registration deadline is July 18 in order to guarantee
seating at our reserved tables.
